Framed by the Rocky Mountains and the Great Plains of North America, Canada’s Alberta Province invokes grandeur on a large scale. For those who want a diverse locale with plenty of unspoiled natural beauty (and recreational opportunities to match), Alberta offers an enticing mix of western hospitality, elegant urban lifestyles and picture-perfect scenery.

Alberta celebrates a rich western heritage and abundant resources. Known as a business-friendly province, it has a robust and thriving real estate market, particularly in the luxury residential sector.

Nearly half of its population resides in its two largest cities, Edmonton and Calgary.  Edmonton serves as the provincial capital. Known for its many festivals—at least 30 per year--it is also home to the West Edmonton Mall, the largest shopping mall in North America.

For affluent living set in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, Calgary offers a multitude of choices from villas and ranches to high rise penthouses and estates. A vibrant city of more than 1 million people, Calgary mixes cosmopolitan must-haves such as fine dining, cultural venues, top-tier shopping and nightlife with its own brand of historic charm.  It is also the site of the internationally famous “Calgary Stampede,” the ultimate rodeo experience.  Exclusive neighborhoods include Elbow Park, Mount Royal and Bel-Aire.

Calgary is the jumping off point to the majestic Canadian Rockies, and there is no better way to enjoy them then visiting Banff and Jasper National Parks. Deep in the heart of the western mountains, these parks boast some of the most breathtaking scenery anywhere.

Nestled in the heart of Banff National Park is the world-famous Lake Louise, long a favorite on the North American Grand Tour. This pristine alpine lake sits at the base of glacier-topped mountains and has served as Canadian calling card for decades.

As Canadian singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot sang at the opening ceremonies of the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics: “It’s good to be Alberta Bound.”
