The George C. Gardner House is one of the premier properties in the town of Nantucket with over a half acre of magnificent gardens and landscaping. The main house was completely restored in 2004/2005 maintaining its historical integrity and original moldings, finishes, ornamental trim, replacing plumbing, electrical and new systems throughout. The house now offers every possible convenience for modern day living. In addition, a sizable garage/carriage/guest house was added with three additional bedroom suites, living areas and second kitchen. There is a private pool within an enclosed courtyard, now a very desirable amenity in the historic district, however no longer permitted by the Historic District Commission. Backyard, pool area, porches and decks all overlook wetlands, open space and/or restricted land.
