I'm a Mainer, raised in the small paper mill town of East Millinocket in northern Maine. I currently reside in Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island, home to Acadia National Park. When I was young, my parents re-located to central Florida where I attended school in Plant City (Strawberry Capital of the World) and graduated from the University of South Florida (Tampa) with a degree in Criminal Justice. During and after college I worked for the U.S. Customs Service (Intel Division), the U.S. Attorney's Office (Tampa) and prominent law offices specializing in foreclosures. Knowing I would always return to Maine someday, I did just that in 2001 where I've been a Realtor ever since. I also hold a Certified Maine Assessors (CMA) license and currently serve as the Deputy Tax Assessor for the Town of Bar Harbor as well as an active Board Member of the Maine Association of Assessing Officers (MAAO). Being a tax assessor requires very detailed and analytical knowledge of real estate markets, close monitoring of market trends and indices, working knowledge of local land use ordinances, zoning, State tax law, exemption programs, sales data analysis, to name a few and without question, has enhanced my abilities to succeed in real estate. My local interests and hobbies include community service work with my local Rotary Club as an active Board Member and Club President-Elect (2013). I support many local non-profit fund raising events, enjoy hiking in Acadia National Park, golfing, tennis, mountain biking, kayaking and spending time with my loveable Yellow Lab, Birdie. I enjoy home improvement projects and yard work and have remodeled two entire homes and consider myself a "handyman" and fostering woodworker. This knowledge lends itself well to being a Realtor where every home is unique, full of qualities and characteristics with varied levels of quality of construction, age, style, function and design. I sincerely enjoy every aspect of real estate and feel representation of both Sellers and Buyers is a privilege in which all parties to the transaction should be treated with respect and professional courtesy at all times. Representation is my specialty and the decisions are always the clients. By acquiring and providing all the information needed and available through diligent research, multi-media technology as well as professional and personal local knowledge and insight, I enable my clients to make the best decisions for them. I look forward to meeting with you to discuss your real estate needs and representing you to the best of my ability and beyond.
