Enrico Caruso – A world-famous and extremely wealthy sponsor Enrico Caruso, born on 25 February 1873 in Naples as Errico Caruso (deceased 2 August 1921) was a famous Italian opera singer. He is considered to be the most famous tenor of the first half of the 20th century and at the same time the most significant individual within the world of opera. His unstoppable rise started with his part of the Lori in Umberto Giordano´s opera Fedora. In 1903 he also succeeded internationally. He sang the Duke in Guiseppe Verdi´s Rigoletto at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Very rarely at a debut: He had to repeat the aria, La donna è mobile. Caruso´s generosity and his humor were legendary. In good years he gave Christmas presents to almost all staff members at the Metropolitan Opera. His humor, too, was well known. Again and again he played tricks on his stage colleagues. Once, for example, he sued together the arms of a colleagues costume which he had to wear in La Bohème. Another time he poured water into once´ hat which the person had to put on during the play. Majestically, is this extraordinary beautiful home located near by the Kurpark raised on a hill in a very quiet and very good small neighborhood. The house was built in 1904 and extremely costly renovated in 2001. What makes this home so special is its spacious floor plan of the reception rooms. Through the double doors of the entrance one is lead into the spacious hall with a ceiling height of approximately 5.80 m and views up to the gallery on the first floor. Another set of double doors provides access to the beautiful living room with its stucco ceilings and hard wood floors. The semi-circular shape of the top of the room awards a very special ambience. Sliding doors with edged glass connect the living room with the study. Here again, details such as stucco work on the ceiling and walls as well as a small raised oriel award this room its own wonderful character. The dining room, left to the living room and right next to the kitchen, provides access to a specious balcony with views towards the Kurpark. THE SECOND FLOOR The second floor is integrated into the overall picture of the house and may still be used as a separate spacious and very bright apartment. The approximately 120 square meter apartment has two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a lovely living room and open kitchen to the living room. THE GARDEN FLOOR The spa area is located at the garden floor. It is modernly designed using only the finest materials at the highest standard. There, is a spacious sauna, a relaxation room with rain forest shower and jacuzzi. The adjoining fitness room offers enough space for a variety of cardio machines On this level there is also a utility room, garden room, several storage rooms and the boiler room. The garden floor is very bright. The house is equipped with the Linn multi-room system for seven rooms on all floors. This allows an individual music experience in each room.
