Enrico Caruso – A world-famous and extremely wealthy sponsor Enrico Caruso, born on 25 February 1873 in Naples as Errico Caruso (deceased 2 August 1921) was a famous Italian opera singer. He is considered to be the most famous tenor of the first half of the 20th century and at the same time the most significant individual within the world of opera. His unstoppable rise started with his part of the Lori in Umberto Giordano´s opera Fedora. In 1903 he also succeeded internationally.
