Many factors steer us toward our final destinations. Some are unknown, while others are matters of conviction. Mick left his Greenwich, CT home in 1989 after graduating from Middlebury College and headed to Colorado for a camping trip. It was a trip that left an indelible impression and began a wonderful chain of decisions. A ski trip followed and the beauty, climate and way of life (not to mention all that sunshine) won Mick over. The discovery of the Colorado lifestyle began to formulate the biggest decisions of Mick's life. Realizing this as the golden opportunity of a young person's life, an epic trip was planned to ensure no place was overlooked. A six month personal odyssey ensued which included a tent, a Volkswagen and an atlas. After 24,000 miles through North America including 38 States, 4 Provinces, 2 Territories (and a 4 month stint in that tent in Alaska), the decision to call Colorado home was verified. In 1995, Mick converted a 1903 building into the Minturn Inn Bed and Breakfast. Being the builder/owner/operator of a B&B was a truly wonderful experience. It was through meeting all the visiting guests that Mick realized how much he loved the area, the healthy Colorado lifestyle and all of its recreational possibilities. A decision was made to sell the B&B and pursue life with a wife and family with which to enjoy the pleasures of the Vail Valley. In 2002 Mick married his wife Alicia, in her hometown of Whistler, British Columbia, and now share life with daughter Berkeley and son Declan. Becoming a full time REALTOR in 2002 combined Mick's background of building and renovating properties with his passion and knowledge of the Vail Valley. Specializing in the luxury markets of Vail Village and Beaver Creek Resorts but knowing the whole valley real estate inventory thoroughly from his 20 plus years of being involved with buying, selling and improving property is his trademark.
