John comes to the Capital City Sotheby's International real estate team after more than 30 years of experience in computer hardware and software sales, and providing consulting services as a National Account Manager to major international hi-tech companies.
He graduated from Western Connecticut State College, and has Bachelor of Science with minors in Computer Science and Business Administration, and has received excellent management skills training throughout his career.
John is widely traveled and has lived and worked on both the west and east coasts before arriving in Austin in 1991. Having personally experienced the professional and cultural challenges of relocation, as well as numerous first-hand home buying and selling experiences, he felt that becoming a realtor was the next logical step on his career ladder.
He and his wife, along with one of the premier builders in the area, built a big beautiful house in Dripping Springs. They were both intricately involved in every aspect of the planning and construction - an experience that will serve John's clients well!
John was a founding board member of Triple Creek Ranch Homeowners' Association in Dripping Springs, and he also served as president of their Architectural Control Committee.
His career in sales has taught him well that listening to a client's needs and then finding or creating a solution is much more important than selling a product. He feels this approach is also the ideal way to match a client with the home of their dreams.
Having been focused on business at the national level, John has enjoyed immersing himself in local Austin activities such as golf, rowing and cycling.
John's avid interest in real estate and his in-depth understanding of the local residential market, along with his honesty, integrity and attention to detail, come together to help others find just the right home!
