Turtle Crawl Villa features three double bedrooms, each with a balcony and a bath. One single room is situated in “The Tower” and there is a sleeping gallery for three children. The Villa has a fully equipped kitchen, an elegant “Great-room” with ample lounging space, huge double verandahs, small reading library, and a large garden. The Villa was designed and built over a period of several years by its owner for his family. It was completed in 1992. The care, love and attention to detail are reflected in the many unusual touches evident throughout. The Villa faces east to take advantage of the Tradewinds and the morning sunlight. It is situated within walled gardens with its own private beach and a half-acre of flat lawn for play. There is a private dock that can accommodate a small boat and dinghies and a ramp to facilitate launching. Pretty ocean views from all levels couple with the soothing sounds of waves playing over the offshore reefs make it a dream vacation choice. Sunning local beaches are numerous. Apart from Turtle Crawl’s own beach with immediate access to swimming, snorkeling, boating and shelling, there is long Bay, with its mile long crescent of perfect white sand within seven minutes walking distance of the Villa. North shore’s Josiah’s Bay is perfect for boogie boarding and surfing; Lambert Beach and Little Bay are both so beautiful that they are in demand for movie and advertising shoots and are only a short drive away. A turtle crawl, or corral, is a lagoon formed by the building of an artificial reef from the shoreline for the penning of captured turtles. One such pen, built by the Arawak Indians some three or four hundred years ago, is a feature of the villa and gives it its name.
