David's interest and enthusiasm for real estate stems from his many years of actual experience in the industry and his desire to do things better. Originally trained as a molecular biologist, David found his way to New Mexico over 12 years ago in his early 20s, during a sojourn before graduate school. Northern New Mexico dug its grip in deep, and he has never left. He learned construction by building two homes from the ground up, on his own with occasional labor and specialty help. At the same time, David apprenticed with a master cabinet maker whose skill and attention to detail covered every phase of the work, from felling and planning timber to designing, woodworking and installing beautiful and functional cabinetry.

As co-founder of Cabinet Spaces Inc, David strives to not only create elegant interiors for his clients, but also to improve and streamline the process of design for achieving more than what he had in mind. After hundreds of cabinet jobs and thousands of hours discussing details, David feels that being able to elucidate a perfect fit for his clients has become his forte. Countless hours spent enjoying, analyzing and critiquing other peoples' homes has given him a deep sense of aesthetic and knowledge of the local architectural vernacular. Working closely with hundreds of local architects, builders and sub-contractors of all types has helped to give him a wide appreciation of the many interwoven threads that comprise the selection of the perfect home for his real estate clients.

An avid tennis player, David has found paradise in his family's recent move to Nambe, NM, 15 minutes north of Santa Fe, where the selection of courts from clay to hard top has him captivated. Living in the country also comes with the added perks of learning and using the venerable irrigation system of acequias, battling gophers and finally, when the frost is gone, enjoying the fruits of the labor. David loves northern New Mexico for its ancient cottonwoods, its neverending activities from canoeing the Chama to the heart-warming Canyon Road Christmas Eve trek, its assortment and layers of cultures and its sense of freedom and wild.
