Tim De Cinces brings a diverse business background to HOM Real Estate. After playing 8 years of professional baseball for the Baltimore Orioles, San Diego Padres and Oakland Athletics, Tim founded Home Plate Development. HPD has developed 26 homes in the Coastal Orange County area. Tim has personally overseen the acquisition, entitlement, design and construction of each home site. In addition to his extensive residential development experience, Tim is the owner/operator of the Beach Pit BBQ restaurants. The original Beach Pit BBQ is in Costa Mesa with other locations in Old Town Tustin and Orange. The Beach Pit BBQ was chosen "Best Family Restaurant" by the OC Weekly and the NY Times picked it the can't miss food at Angel's Stadium of Anaheim. Tim has been nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year by the OC Business Journal and was recognized in the OC Metro Top 40 under 40 as one of the most influential OC Business people under 40. Tim graduated from UCLA in 1997 where he also was a 3 time All-American baseball player leading the Pac-12 in home runs his junior year. Tim has served as chairman of the UCLA Orange County Wooden Fund from 2009-current. He has been a licensed California Real Estate Broker since 2003. Tim has "all the bases covered" for his clients: an understanding of the local markets as an investor and developer; knowledge of the entitlement, permit and construction process should improvements be in the works; and the ability to handle any transaction no matter how complex as an accomplished entrepreneur.
