John Savilia brings a unique perspective to the Gibson Sotheby's International Realty team, having enjoyed much success in the legal field since 1992 and now over ten years of success practicing his craft as an attorney. The main focus of his recent work since 2003 has centered around residential real estate matters by being a broker and a real estate attorney, representing both buyers and lenders in the process. John has joined Gibson Sotheby's International Realty's Westwood office confident that the experience will be one for the long-term that will benefit his clients in a strategic way due to his expertise in not just real estate but also the legal process. One who defines himself as extremely loyal, able to bring superior negotiation skills as well as problem solving, attention to detail, research, professionalism, communication and advocacy skills, John always is careful and deliberate when he presents his case and findings to clients.John is from Long Island, New York. He grew up in South Huntington, and graduated cum laude from St. Anthony's High School, where he was active in team sports. He then attended Providence College in Rhode Island where he distinguished himself yet again by graduating cum laude and also was honored with a membership into the highly-respected Friars' Club. Thereafter, John relocated to the Boston area to continue his studies, this time in law at Suffolk University. Once again he stood out amongst his peers by graduating cum laude and also gaining the distinction of being a member of the Law Review as the Executive Editor. John is very knowledgeable about the Boston area having lived in many of Boston's surrounding neighborhoods including Beacon Hill, Brookline, Newton and West Roxbury. He now lives with his wife and two children in Norwood, Massachusetts.Apart from his dedication in the workplace, in his leisure time John still enjoys coaching, playing and watching any sporting activity, as well as doing some yard work at home. Some professional organizations John is a member of are the Bar Association of Norfolk County as well as having a REALTOR membership in the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board. With the great strides the Westwood office is making in the area, as well as the connectivity that John will have at his fingertips with the other Sotheby's offices in the State and worldwide, his expanding real estate portfolio will only continue to thrive.
