說明

Focusing on the creation of a quality Estate Winery with a young and fresh brand positioning, Mistaken Identity Vineyards is situated on a small farm on Salt Spring Island. Arguably the most well known of the Gulf Islands, Salt Spring thrives on the attention from its high quality locally produced foods and flavours. Mistaken Identity Vineyards offers both residents and the constant influx of tourists to the Island a charming experience both in the tasting room and amongst the vines. With the release of its first vintage in 2008 the winery has been expanding both its reputation as well as its production totalling 1,200 cases from the 2011 harvest. An architecturally designed winery with beautiful finishing details and custom millwork is demised to include a retail area and tasting room with adjoining production facilities that would easily accomodate 5,000 cases annually. The oldest vines in the vineyard are 12 years while the majority was planted in 2004/ 2005. Varietals comprising 7.5 acres planted include Chardonnay, Madeleine Angevine, Siegerrebe, Madeline Sylvaner, Pinot Gris, Ortega, Reichensteiner, Agria, Leon Millot, Pinot Noir and Zweigelt. Abbondante Bianco and Rose´ are Estate favorites and are both on their 4th year releases. Also very popular is the Mistaken Identity ‘Charmela’ a dessert wine crafted from estate grown apples and Chardonnay. Features The offering includes the sale of all land and improvements plus equipment: a newly constructed two level winemakers residence, equipment shed and combined production facility and tasting room. The assets of the business are well maintained and the vineyard is in full production and properly tended to. Available inventory is negotiated for purchase separately. This is an opportunity to acquire a successfully run Estate Winery in the heart of Salt Spring Island with a growing brand reputation. Current zoning for the property would allow future expansions to the tasting room, production facility, accomodations and potential for a restaurant or Bistro to promote the winery’s demand for weddings and special events.
