Courmayeur, Aosta, ITA

Italy's mountains are spread out among one of the best natural scenarios in Europe, the Alps. Some 28 percent of the entire territory of the Alps is in northern Italy. The Alps and the famous Dolomites have immense tourist appeal all year round; their slopes are an established favorite with skiers and mountaineers while the nature reserves and parks are the perfect destination for nature lovers and families alike.

Courmayeur is among the most famous ski destinations in Italy, at the foot of the Mont Blanc massif which, with a height of some 4804 meters, is Italy's highest mountain. Around this mountain and benefiting from the great beauty of the surrounding landscape, an important tourist industry has developed. Most of Italians living in northern Italy owns a second house here and in the surroundings, as Courmayeur is very well connected to Milan and Turin, both easily reachable on 2 hours drive. Courmayeur lies at the end of the Aosta Valley next to the Mont Blanc Tunnel, and is the last Italian town before the French border. Mountaineering, trekking and ski-ing are just some of the sporting activities to be enjoyed whilst visiting Courmayeur. At La Palude, the incredibly scenic funicular railway crossing the Alps to reach Chamonix begins.

A completely different scenario – but the same magic -  appears to those visiting the mountainous territory of the Dolomites, that  extends between the regions of Trentino Alto Adige and Veneto, and is subdivided into the Western and Eastern Dolomites. The people of the whole area of the Dolomites love and take great pride in the mountains, as they have done for centuries.

The fauna is spectacular, with over 1500 different species (including over 50 types of Orchid), in a mixture of woods and forests, and is considered to be amongst the largest in Europe. There are also many species which live exclusively in the Dolomites. In the Dolomites, two of the world best known villages are Madonna di Campiglio and Cortina d’Ampezzo

With 1550 kilometers of slopes of every level of difficulty up to 2600 meters in height and 57 ski lifts, Madonna di Campiglio is certainly the ideal destination for the lovers of this most famous winter sport.
Known as a preferred city for socialites, Madonna di Campiglio also offers incredible scenery where tranquility reigns supreme among lakes, streams, mountain chalets and long routes which can be covered also on mountain bike. Distance from Verona airport is about 2 hours drive.

One hundred kilometres between and off-piste on the perfectly groomed slopes or down virgin snow chasing after the last snowfall. On skis or a snowboard, in the presence of the highest mountain in Europe. This is the Courmayeur area, the sunny side of Mont Blanc.
Throughout the winter, every day and every night, we prepare perfection for ski lovers. The land of the Valle d'Aosta has given us a place of dizziness and enchantment: we have modeled it to make the palette to plot dream trajectories, tasting the speed and breathing crystal clear air of the top of the old continent.
In Courmayeur, each level meets his challenge: from the slopes where you fasten your boots for the first time to the most difficult pistes, without forgetting the immensely spread freeriding spots. The snowmaking covers more than 70% of the area, guaranteeing, for the whole season, the chance to discover, have fun and to test yourselves. Because here, we cultivate your happiness.
