History:
Located southwest of the Lakes Region in New Hampshire, Ragged Mountain's lift served history dates back to the early 1960s. State Senator Arthur M. Drake sponsored a bill in early 1963 that funded the construction of access roads to two proposed ski areas, Willard Basin and Ragged Mountain.

In 1964, a Hall double and T-Bar were installed on the north side of Ragged Mountain. A second chairlift was planned for the Northeast Peak area; however, Ragged would operate with its 1964 lift infrastructure for over two decades until undertaking the Spear Mountain and Barnyard expansions.

In 1987, the Endriunas brothers purchased Ragged Mountain. Closing out the decade, the Meadows beginner area was developed with a T-Bar.

The 1990s started off with a relative bang, as two double chairlifts were installed and lodge facilities were improved. Later in the decade, the Spear Mountain area was built. In the winter of 2002, Ragged opened the first high speed detachable six person chairlift in New Hampshire. The new lift was seen as a key piece of a future expansion. Instead, the high costs involved helped contribute to the eventual bankruptcy of the area. New ownership eventually took over in the late 2000s, resulting in the stabilization of the area, as well as new planning of expansion.
