Located in beautiful North County San Diego, the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club lies in the heart of the Rancho Santa Fe Village and blends seamlessly with the natural terrain. This 18-hole, championship course is lined with horseback riding trails and impressive estates in the prestigious Covenant of Rancho Santa Fe. While the fairways are wide and open, precision is required to tackle the challenging greens, which are often sloped and/or multi-tiered. Practice facilities include a double-ended driving range, putting green and a two-acre short game practice zone.

The Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club has a rich history intertwined with the storied Rancho Santa Fe community. The course, which opened in 1929, was the result of a 200+ acre land grant from the Santa Fe Land Improvement Company. The course quickly became an important pillar of the community and has been the site of several major events in its nearly 85-year history. Bing Crosby held his pro-am clambake event from 1937-1942 on the golf course, which later evolved into the Pebble Beach Tournament. In the years since its inception, the golf course has become increasingly privatized. First founded as a public course, the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club now restricts membership to those in the Rancho Santa Fe Association who own property in the Covenant. In 2002, the course underwent a $3.4 million renovation, prompting Golf Digest Magazine to name the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Course one of California’s top 20 best golf venues. All clubhouse facilities also underwent a recent remodel in 2007.
