The Strand is a 575-acre community located in North Naples on Immokalee Road just west of Interstate-75 and consists of a 30-acre shopping and commercial area plus 545 acres of residential areas, golf course, lakes and nature preserves. It offers a range of home styles including villas, townhomes, coach homes, and single-family homes.

The Club's facilities include a 27-hole championship golf course designed by Gordon Lewis, aqua range, practice putting green, pro shop and men and women's locker areas. The magnificent clubhouse features a dining facilities, boardroom, multi-media center, banquet and entertainment facilities and living room. A separate tennis & fitness complex features state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment, a junior Olympic-size swimming pool, fitness center, whirlpool spa, cabana and locker rooms.  The community also features eight lighted Har-Tru tennis courts, a full-sized basketball court, social events, an executive boardroom, salon services, and a playground.

This facility has three nine hole courses that can be played in three eighteen-hole combinations. Constructed in the style of a Southern plantation, each of the nines have a different character. The Savannah Course is the widest with large flat greens. The Sable Course features a risk-reward design, with a proliferation of sand bunkers and well-undulated greens. The newest course is The Preserve, and as its name suggests, it was carved out of a heavily wooded area. An abundance of trees, and tight landing areas encourage target-style golf.

The signature hole is #5 on The Sable, a 259-yard, par 3. The large green, protected by water on three sides and sand bunkers to the left, demands accuracy off the tee. Several inter-connected, man-made lakes winding through the layout add a pleasing aesthetic. There is an additional set of ladies' tees on each course.  An interesting feature of the club is its aqua-driving range, with the yardage marked on floating greens. The club hosted the 1999 Naples LPGA Memorial Tournament.
