Though resting on gentler terrain than the Mountain Course, the Lake Course is often judged to be easier than it really is. The course has several short par-5 holes, which require accurate tee shots to avoid well-established stands of trees lining each fairway. Its season-long pastoral beauty, with tree lined fairways and eight lakes and ponds, offers just the right setting to make the Lake Course a favorite for high, low and “”no”” handicappers. With its classic mountain-style layout, the Mountain Course requires shots played from downhill, uphill, and sidehill lies. Golfers enjoy occasional sightings of roaming deer, elk, wild turkeys, moose, and other wildlife.
Lake Course - 18 holes over 6942 yards with a par of 72 (Municipal)
Mountain Course - 18 holes over 6459 yards with a par of 71 (Municipal)
The course rating is 72.0 and it has a slope rating of 128.
HOW TO GET THERE:
From Salt Lake City International Airport: Take I-80 East to Highway 40 (exit #148). Turn right at the stop light (River Road) and follow the brown signs to Wasatch Mountain State Park. The golf course is located inside the park.
