Jovelle Schaffer is an Angeleno and Echo Park native, with a periscopic memory of growing up in the great City of Angels. Her former alma maters include Rosemont Avenue, Our Lady of Loretto Elementary and Immaculate Heart High School. She holds a BA in English from UC Irvine with a minor in Art History. She is also an eight-time marathon runner.
Jovelle holds a broker's license in real estate. She worked as a copy editor for PR Newswire before transitioning into real estate, at which time she obtained employment as an Assistant Property Manager at the respected downtown firm, Charles Dunn Company.
She represents buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of real estate, spanning from Sherman Oaks to Miracle Mile, Pasadena to Brentwood. Her predominant clientele invests in neighborhoods throughout the Eastside including Echo Park, Silver Lake, Los Feliz and the Hollywood Hills. Jovelle brings an adept understanding of the purchase contract, strong negotiation skills and knowledge of changing neighborhoods. She obtained her real estate education at UCLA, and furthered it with a GRI designation from the California Association of REALTORS. She works at Sotheby's International Realty in Los Feliz.
Jovelle is also a writer whose poetry has been published in LACMA's Celebrating Urban Light. She is also the sole writer for EchoParkCool.com. She loves to cook and bake, with her free time spent discovering restaurants and bars through the city, on both the East and West Sides.
Jovelle's professional associations include the Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors. She is a member of the Silver Lake Chamber of Commerce and Echo Park Historical Society. She is fluent in Spanish.
