Local Expertise. Global Connections.
Peter Goldman has enjoyed many successes in real estate, having joined Sotheby's International Realty after an accomplished career on Wall Street as a fixed income trader and portfolio manager.
His combined training in both the financial and real estate markets has taught him a keen sense of relative value, patience, professionalism, and sharp negotiating skills. He has extensive experience successfully executing complex purchases and sales, including apartment combinations and estate sales. Not shy, he approached the owner of an apartment adjacent to one which was for sale about selling and was able to create a-once-in-a-lifetime space for his clients. For many years, he lived on the Upper West Side and in Carnegie Hill. He is an expert in both neighborhoods and can confidently serve clients in other areas of Manhattan as well.
Peter received his undergraduate degree from Oberlin College, his MBA in banking and finance from Pace University, and his accreditation as a Certified Negotiation Expert for Real Estate Professionals through the Real Estate Board of New York.
In his spare time, he enjoys his “getaway” spot in Litchfield County, Connecticut. He currently serves on the board of his condominium association, sits on the board of the Riverdale Y as Treasurer, as well as serves on the Board of UJA-Federation of New York. He is a member of the US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce. He is fluent in Spanish and has helped many clients from all Spanish-speaking countries with their housing needs.
