Over the course of his 25+ year career, Steven Moritz has been fortunate to receive many industry awards as well as annual recognition for his sales performance. Ultimately, he takes the most pride in the fact that referrals account for the majority of his business. For a real estate agent, getting a referral from a past client is the highest compliment one can receive.
Steven was born and raised in West Los Angeles, studied Economics at UCLA and continued his education at USC, where he earned his MBA. Before entering the real estate brokerage field, he practiced as a CPA for the international firm, KPMG, and served as corporate controller for a large real estate development company.
Steven has been working in the Westside his entire career and almost every day he sees someone that he helped find a home. He loves hearing what they’re doing with the property and that they’re happy or that they’ve outgrown the home and want his help with their next purchase. That kind of ongoing relationship brings him the most satisfaction.
In addition to having established himself as an expert on the Westside of Los Angeles, Steven has been able to help his clients buy and sell properties internationally benefiting from the worldwide presence of the Sotheby’s International Realty brand.
Steven is proud to be among the top 1% of California real estate agents every year since 1992 and for the past 15 years, he’s consistently been a member of the California Top 100. He has helped more than 500 families find the home of their dreams. Steven was recently recognized as one of the Top 25 Sotheby’s International Realty agents in the United States based on Closed Transaction Volume.
Steven and his wife, Melissa, have raised three children on the west side of Los Angeles, and Steven has continued to be involved in community sports and activities on the Westside throughout the years. Steven truly believes that his love of this area is communicated to his clients and that his enthusiastic desire to enjoy every facet of Southern California has made him knowledgeable about more than just real estate. The Westside offers countless enriching year-round opportunities that Steven takes pleasure in sharing with his clients, including great dining, outdoor recreation, cultural events or sports events at the local rec center. When he works with a client, he believes in introducing them to a community and a lifestyle, not just finding them a place to live.
Steven looks at his position as a consultant and advisor to the many buyers and sellers he represents. This has always been his signature approach, and it is reflected in the comfort and trust that his clients have in him.
