Experience & Expertise I have been a licensed real estate broker since 1984 and a California attorney since 1983. As an attorney I specialized in real estate related bankruptcies for more than 13 years. In 1999 I began working full time in residential real estate. In 2004 Susan Diamond, my sister, joined me as my real estate partner. With my legal background I specialize in probate, conservatorship and successor trustee real estate listings. My legal background is invaluable in knowing the court rules, required documents and understanding court hearings. I am well versed on the specialized requirements for successor trustee sales and often assist out of state clients in selling their California probate and trust properties. Having a legal background is vital to understanding real estate contracts, conducting negotiations and focusing on the importance of client confidential and fiduciary relationships. I represent only one side in a transaction to avoid any conflicts of interests. Additionally, I have a background in listing exceptional architectural and historical homes. It is important to recognize that architectural designs and features increase the value and desirability of these homes as well as the added value of the historical designation to a property. I have earned the Architectural Specialist designation from Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty. My real estate partner, Susan Diamond, and I created the Point Loma Architecture Series when we realized that the community was deeply interested in the subject. To date we have had presentations from architects Rob Quigley and Dick Lareau and about Sim Bruce Richards, Robert Mosher, Richard Requa, Herbert Palmer, Cliff May, Tiki and Streamline Moderne Architecture and the Historic Designation process. I have earned the designation of Certified Residential Specialist. This designation represents hours of advanced classes, a higher level of transactions and an in-depth knowledge of the real estate industry. It includes a continuing education requirement to remain in good standing. As a native of San Diego, I have an extensive knowledge of the city and resources to assist my clients.
