Murdoch Matheson is Vice President and Managing Broker of Frank Hardy Sotheby’s International Realty with over 22 years of high achievement in the business. Murdoch has led the firm in sales several times in consecutive years with sales in excess of $100 Million in volume over the last two years. Last year he set a record for the highest residential sale in Charlottesville history and has solidified his place in the upper echelon market averaging over $1,500,000 per transaction over the course of his 22 years in business. This achievement is also at the very top of the MLS. His success in business is reliant on a positive approach, local knowledge and information, responsiveness and communication. Murdoch is inherently familiar with the responsibilities of land ownership and stewardship required for country living in Virginia but represents an equal number of residential properties. A Virginia native, Murdoch has lived in the north east, west coast and traveled frequently internationally but Virginia will always be his home. He’s a graduate of The Episcopal High School and was a collegiate athlete at Denison University. Murdoch and his wife (Susie Matheson - The Scout Guide) live in Charlottesville, they have three children, several dogs and horses.
