Bob Teer has been interested in real estate for as long as he can remember. He believes in real estate as an investment that builds wealth and security, and he's worked in the industry since 1975. A South Bay native, Bob says the ocean is in his blood! He also likes to surf, snowboard bike-ride. He has a daughter who is a paramedic with the Los Angeles County Fire Department and a son, Chris Teer, with whom Bob works. Also a South Bay native, Chris Teer is a third-generation real estate agent who has worked in the industry for the past 10 years. He and his wife, Melissa-a counselor for at-risk youth, live in Redondo Beach and enjoy traveling and helping others.
What keeps you interested in real estate? Chris: 'THE PEOPLE! More than anything else, I love working with my clients. Real estate can be a difficult world to navigate, especially given the recent market, and I love feeling like I'm really making a difference in clients' lives. Be it listing their home and getting it sold at a great price or finding a family their dream home, I love knowing that I can help clients maximize their real estate experience.'
In what ways do you provide top-notch service to your clients? Bob: 'By explaining the whole buying and selling process. By being on top of current values. And by letting my clients know that even when a transaction has closed escrow successfully, I am always just a phone call away if they need help with anything regarding real estate.'
Who is your typical client? Chris: 'No two clients are the same! I have helped people buy income properties, and I have helped others sell their homes that they lived in for years. However, many of my clients are first-time home-buyers. Buying a home for the first time can be both exciting and intimidating. I am here to make the process go as easily and smoothly as possible, all while making sure my clients are happy and will end up purchasing the home of their dreams.'
How do you give back to your community? Bob: 'I enjoy donating to the homeless shelters, food centers, animal shelters, Heal the Bay and Surfrider Foundation. I also help my son when fundraising for multiple sclerosis.'
Chris: 'It is important to know I am making a difference in somebody else's life. I am an avid donor for the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Having lost my mother to this disease, we raise money to find a cure and participate in the walk every year in her honor.'
