Local Expertise. Global Connections.

I grew up in Tucson, Arizona, so moving to Maine in 1991 (with stops in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Illinois) was an amazing and wonderful change. When I was much younger, walking the neighborhoods close to my home, I always wondered at the cookie-cutter sameness of most of the homes. Where were the two story houses? Where was the interesting architecture? I remembered fondly my grandparents' home in Illinois, an old farmhouse with two floors, wonderful round windows and beautiful woodwork. I wanted that house or something very much like that. My dream finally came true when in 1999, my husband and I bought a lovely New Englander in Camden Village. Before moving to Camden, we spent a few years in Waterville where we both worked at Colby College. Yearning to be near the coast, we moved here when our two daughters went away to school.

I have always loved to look at houses, so the decision to become a realtor in 2002 was an easy one. The change from working as an administrative assistant at Colby, and other businesses and institutions, to real estate provided more independence and a challenge that I was eager to meet. Buying and selling homes can be a daunting process, and I work hard to make the transactions as easy as possible for my buyers and sellers. In 2007 I had the honor of being chosen REALTOR of the Year by the Coastal Mountain Council of REALTORS.

Currently, I serve on the Board of Trustees for The Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockport, and as Board President of The Community School, a 36 year-old, alternative high school for at-risk youth, based in Camden. In my spare time, I'm an avid reader and manage to travel some with my author husband, Richard. Venice, Italy, and London (where our daughter and son-in-law currently live) as well as Martha's Vineyard, are favorite travel destinations. My new challenge is watercolor painting.
