In 2006 my husband, Chris, and I decided to trade life in New York City for life in the suburbs. We selected Monmouth County, New Jersey. In addition to spending summers at our beach home in the town of Sea Bright, Chris grew up in Monmouth County; this area was a natural choice to begin the next chapter in our lives. And with Monmouth County's easy access to the beach, golf courses, boating, excellent shopping and dining, and blue-ribbon schools - all are within a quick forty minute ferry ride from Manhattan it was the right choice for our family. With the relocation also came a new profession, having spent 7 years working in investment banking at Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse respectively, I decided to pursue a real estate career. Having participated alongside my husband, who is a real estate broker in Manhattan, in investing in 6 homes in the course of 3 years (including 2 new construction and one a gut renovation in Manhattan- not for the faint of heart!), in 2006 I began my own real estate career at Gloria Nilson GMAC where I earned Rookie of the Year for the company. After taking a few years off to raise my children through the toddler/kindergarten years, in 2013 I returned to real estate full-time and selected Heritage House Sotheby's International Realty. Heritage House SIR was an easy choice due to their exceptional combination of local expertise, international recognition, and unbeatable market knowledge. I continue to maintain a home in the Rumson/Fair Haven area and I actively participate in various charitable and social organizations (including Campership of Monmouth County, Newcomer's Club, American Cancer Society (through the Cancer Ball) and the Stately Homes by the Sea VNA Show House). My children attend two of the excellent schools available in the region, Rumson Country Day School and Creative Learning Center.
