Leonard has been a Realtor® since 1999 and with Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty in Montclair, New Jersey since 2000. He holds accreditations as a Short Sale & Foreclosure Specialist (SFR), an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), and an e-Pro.` Leonard’s job is to handle all the details of his client’s home search, purchase, sale, and/or relocation. He believes in taking the worry away so that his client’s Home Buying or Selling experience is as smooth and profitable as possible. He will handle all the details that can seem overwhelming for the first-time buyer/seller. His goal is to advise, not sell or convince. He will ADVISE you regarding all the details and procedures of the home buying or selling process. He will walk client’s through the process from getting a mortgage pre-approval or listing their property for sale, right through to the closing table. That will include finding good attorneys, home inspectors, contractors, neighborhoods, schools, EVERYTHING and ANYTHING that has to do with his client’s decision-making process, and he thoroughly will explain ALL available options; ALL the positives AND negatives of any decisions client’s need to make… and it's ALWAYS with THEIR BEST INTERESTS AT HEART. That’s a promise! As a good businessman, Leonard knows that EXCEEDING his client’s expectations will ensure that they are happy with their decision to work with him AND happy to refer friends, relatives, and colleagues. Leonard was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and moved to Montclair in 1993. As a resident of Montclair and the father of two children, he is familiar with the many cultural and recreational activities Montclair (and the surrounding towns) have to offer. He received a B.A. in Speech and Theatre from Brooklyn College, NY; was trained in culinary arts by renowned Chef Annemarie Huste and was Executive Chef for the New York Times Magazine Group and the Phillip Morris Company. He has been a cooking instructor, a gourmet shop manager, and the Culinary Consultant for Abraham & Straus Dept. Stores in NYC. Additionally, he worked for nine years at Atlas Welding & Boiler Repair Company (in the Bronx), and his knowledge of boilers, water heaters, and basement issues comes from “hands-on” experience. He was a founding member of 12 Miles West Theatre Company and also acted in Murder Mysteries with “Murder To Go”. As the owner and manager of his own packaging company (Enterprise Box Company) for over 15 years, he developed key financial management skills as well as a strong customer service orientation. As a Realtor® since 1999, Leonard is just as comfortable interpreting the latest real estate trends as he is creating a soufflé.
