Local Expertise. Global Connections.
Dianne Harnell Cohen was raised in New York City, attended Northwestern University and relocated to Atlanta in 1968. Her background includes 18 years of sales management experience with CBS Television, where she excelled in marketing, creating promotional opportunities for clients, advertising and, most importantly, the art of overcoming objections to achieve a winning sale.
Following CBS, she opened her own media buying firm at the insistence of clients and ended up, through political media buying, running local and national campaigns. In 1998, she became Deputy Chief of Staff for Governor Roy Barnes, and from 2002-2010, she served as Commissioner of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs for the City of Atlanta under Mayor Shirley Franklin. It was during those eight years that she became a champion of Atlanta neighborhoods and developed a comprehensive knowledge of the city’s every corner. She was instrumental in the formation of the Atlanta BeltLine and the development of Piedmont Park - just to name a few examples.
Since 2010, Dianne has been demonstrating her market understanding as a REALTOR® with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty.
