As a native San Franciscan and broker associate for more than 10 years, Marie Carr brings know-how, enthusiasm, and savviness to her daily work ethic. Marie has the unique ability to blend a legal background of tough negotiating skills and communication with a luxury real estate vision. She has an eye for detail, design, and creative strategy.
Marie has represented clients looking for their first homes to complex deal structures related to 1031 exchanges and court confirmation probate sales. Marie's clients speak of her in-depth knowledge of the city and various neighborhoods, as well as her dedication to the details of a deal and managing financial discussions.
After practicing estate planning law, Marie realized her true passion was real estate and working with clients. Developing sound professional relationships with the client stays paramount. Her goal is to enjoy the process, be sharp, and ultimately help her clients settle into a property where memories (and perhaps a good return on investment) can be built.
A graduate of Convent of the Sacred Heart Elementary School, St. Ignatius College Preparatory, UC Berkeley, and UC Hastings College of the Law, Marie has remained a true local - though she did stray with a stint in Barcelona, Spain, returning home in 2015. Most recently, Marie completed a Harvard University real estate development finance course.
Outside of real estate, Marie is very active in the local community - she volunteers with UCSF Partners in Care, fundraises for pancreatic cancer research, lectors at St. Vincent de Paul, is a former Board President of the SF Opera's BRAVO! CLUB, and is always up for a round of tennis or a fun coffee catch-up along Fillmore Street. Marie and her husband own a condo in Pacific Heights and love strolling the neighborhood with their young daughter.
