Elizabeth advises clients selling their homes and investment properties or those relocating to or within Maine. With a high level of personalized service, the latest technology, local expertise, & a deep understanding of the Maine lifestyle, she surveys the landscape and identifies potential properties - both on and off the market.
Elizabeth gets tremendous personal pleasure from helping people sell and find their dream properties - setting them on the course of fulfilling their aspirations for themselves, their families, neighborhoods and communities. She has logged many years working in, exploring and enjoying Maine's 16 counties. She has developed particular knowledge of the following areas: Greater Portland, including South Portland, Scarborough, Falmouth, Cumberland, Yarmouth, Freeport, Brunswick and Bath; and Waldo and Knox counties, and Coastal Washington counties.
The following experiences shape Elizabeth's interests and orientation: having spent a large portion of her childhood in India, Africa and England; sustainable farming, local food production, and farmland preservation; community journalism, and the inspiration and leadership she's witnessed in community revitalization. Maine is special not only because of its amazing natural beauty, but because of its intact communities where the web of connection is valued and integral to daily living.
Before entering real estate in 2016, Elizabeth's previous career involved working with foundations and nonprofits locally, nationally and internationally, including the Maine Community Foundation, Outward Bound, Aspen Institute's Community Strategies and Nonprofit & Philanthropy Groups, & the UN Special Court for Sierra Leone. She was recognized for her strategic abilities, follow-through & implementation.
Elizabeth grasps complex issues quickly, effectively assesses and connects players and issues in a landscape, anticipates trends, develops rapport and trusted relationships, and works effectively in partnership. She has thrived working collaboratively, and with a very broad network of diverse people. This holds her in good stead in real estate where sellers and buyers, brokers, the financial sector, municipalities, and building trades intersect. She is a graduate of Colby College, Maine (BA), and American University, DC (MS).
Elizabeth and her family enjoy exploring Maine beaches, towns, and islands; utilizing the many trails protected by area land trusts; camping at Maine’s remarkable state parks; and trying all the delicious food they can. They are grateful we get to live in such an amazing state with such resourceful, creative and wonderful people.
