Alix Landau moved to Lake Placid from a small town in the Hudson Valley in 2012. As an admirer of all things aesthetic she finds the mountains an ideal place to call home. From an early age, art was a big part of her life; frequently visiting a myriad of museums and galleries in the city, as well as participating in classes from ceramics to photography to hone her niche in the world of art. She practices photography occasionally, yet her favorite medium to work with at the moment is collage. Among the variable places she has hung her hat, the world of arboriculture has been one of the most important. She has been a member of the International Society of Arboriculture for many years and often participates in classes and conferences to expand her knowledge of trees. Still within the realm of aesthetics, working as an arborist taught Alix how landscape can bring beauty and value to a property. While attending college at the State University of New York at New Paltz she was employed by a local auction company where she learned how to organize and what a difference attention to detail can make. Going hand in hand with a need for organization, Alix enjoys decorating and cleaning in her spare time. Putting things where they seem to belong is not only orderly but another testament to her love for the aesthetics of life. As an agent, Alix enjoys working with buyers. Aiding in the search for one's ideal property is truly another form of art!
