More than anything else, I believe a real estate agent’s top priorities should be listening, guiding, and supporting,” says Jacklyn Van Hoef. “Buying a first home, second home, or investment property is a huge undertaking, as is selling or leasing a property. I make it a point to be the dependable, consistent resource my clients need throughout their real estate journeys.” As positive as her approach is, Jacklyn’s even better at matching that attitude with meaningful results thanks to an in-depth knowledge of many of Miami’s top markets. Currently, she works Turnberry Ocean Club, one of for one of Miami’s most luxurious residences.
As for what drew the Minnesota native to the South Florida real estate scene, Jacklyn admits a fascination with Miami’s international culture and diverse range of neighborhoods and properties. She’s traveled to more than 33 countries in her life, and also lived in Lima, Peru and Playa del Carmen Mexico where she began her real estate career. “The people you meet and the relationships you create in real estate are what makes this such a rewarding career,” she shares. “Making the sale is always a proud moment, but it’s because you know it’s attached to a real person that makes all the work worthwhile.”
Thoughtfulness towards others is something Jacklyn exhibits in her personal life as well. She is a committee member for The Special Olympics; she sponsors a child in Peru through Compassion International; and she takes part in a week-long mission trip every year to help provide much-needed surgeries to underprivileged children in Lima, Peru. When she does take a moment for herself, she enjoys traveling, salsa dancing, boating, and learning about other cultures.
Jacklyn is a graduate of Winona State University in Minnesota, where she majored in both International Business and Spanish. Upon receiving her degree, she then went on to further pursue her studies in Spanish and became certified as a medical interpreter for the Spanish Language.
