Shawn Robertson has lived in the Southwestern suburbs for over 40 years and has extensive knowledge of the neighborhoods, schools, lakes and amenities in the area. She attended Wayzata High School and the University of Minnesota where she earned her degree in Mass Communications. After college, Shawn worked in the local advertising industry where she quickly learned to translate the goals of her clients into dynamic and persuasive advertising and marketing campaigns. She also co-owned and operated a container and small-scale garden design company, putting her love of all things green to work.
Shawn’s passion for real estate grew from her varying experiences of new construction, buying and finishing foreclosed properties, and working with many professionals in the trades. She joins Lakes / Sotheby’s International Realty working with Jim Schwarz, a long trusted real estate professional. For the past 20 years, Shawn has been living in Chanhassen, raising her family, and focusing on volunteering with the school district, youth and high school sports teams and the community. Shawn and her husband are co-founders of their “Curling for Cancer” fundraiser, an annual event held on the lake behind their home every January. She loves spending time with her family, friends, dogs, and traveling around the globe with a camera in hand, all the while exploring the vast culinary experiences the world has to offer.
