John Tan

John Tan is a versatile agent with experience in both residential and commercial real estate. Prior to joining Sotheby’s International Realty, John worked in commercial real estate where he represented both landlords and tenants and was in charge of leasing large mixed-use development projects. He also helped his clients open restaurants and find office and warehouse spaces.

John was born and raised in Brentwood, Los Angeles and knows the market intimately. He attended the prestigious Harvard-Westlake School, one of the top private schools in the nation, and received his bachelor’s degree from University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.

In his free time, John is a foodie and loves to travel. He has family and close friends that live in Europe, China, Indonesia, Singapore, and other various parts of the world, which has given him the opportunity to travel and appreciate the uniqueness of culture.

When working with his clients, John is attentive and always strives for excellence and provides the best service. Whether it is helping a client buy or sell a home, or negotiating leases, John enjoys the unique challenges that come to him and is dedicated to helping his clients achieve their real estate dreams.
