Christine Danforth brings extensive sales and marketing experience to Sotheby’s International Realty. Christine began her professional career in finance at Smith Barney in New York City, where she worked in sales and wealth management. She then followed her passion for tennis into a marketing position at the United States Tennis Association, where she managed sponsors, past champions, and foreign officials at the Presidents Box at the US Open. Her strong business background, work ethic, and commitment to customer service makes her a qualified source when buying or selling a home.
Christine has lived in Greenwich for 28 years and has acquired a valuable perspective on the different schools, amenities, and neighborhoods. She has renovated numerous homes in both Greenwich and the Hamptons, and currently manages three investment properties. This has enabled her to keep an accurate pulse on the current trends in the market and along with her financial background, she has a unique ability to identify, track, and analyze value and provide insight. Christine’s attention to detail and decorating and staging expertise gives her the ability to present a house at its best at the point of sale.
Christine graduated from the University of Virginia, where she earned a BA in economics and communications and was also a member of the Women’s Tennis Team. She and her husband have raised four children in Greenwich and have been fully immersed in this vibrant and diverse community. Christine is an active volunteer at local charities and community organizations, as well as her children’s schools. She has served on various committees and boards at North Street School, Greenwich Country Day, Deerfield Academy, Brunswick, and The University of Virginia, where she currently serves on the New York Regional Board and the Jefferson Scholar Regional Selection Committee. She is also a supporter of the Boys and Girls Club and the Connecticut Alliance for Tennis and Education.
Christine is a licensed real estate professional, a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Greenwich Board of Realtors, the Greenwich Multiple Listing Service, and the Connecticut Multiple Listing Service.
