After fifteen years in lifestyle media, Etta joined forces with her husband, Ian McLendon, in real estate at Sotheby’s International Realty. She is a graduate of St. Paul’s School and holds a B.A. with distinction from Barnard College at Columbia University.
For a decade living in New York City, Etta worked as a photo producer collaborating with legendary photographers, managing talent, budgets, and everything in between, on shoots around the globe. In 2016 she moved to Aspen, Colorado and became the editor-in-chief of Aspen Peak magazine. As a journalist, Etta’s writing has been published in Architectural Digest, Town & Country, Vogue.com and DuJour.
Etta’s professional expertise gives her a keen eye for marketing luxury properties and for understanding what it means to deliver best-in-class service. Ian and Etta run a successful full time, full service business with Etta focusing on transaction coordination, client services and marketing.
Aspen is in Etta’s blood. Her grandparents owned a home here for over 50 years. She is a product of Powder Pandas ski instruction at Buttermilk, and her favorite days are spent on the mountain with family and friends. The rest of the year she can be found hiking the trails of Snowmass with Charlie (their English cocker spaniel) or fishing on the Fryingpan with her favorite guide, Ian.
