Daniel was born in New York City and raised in Cuernavaca Mexico. He returned to the US for his studies which included a degree in Anthropology from Colby College. His dissertation took him to the jungles of Mexico where he lived with the Mayas.
People have always been at the very heart of Daniel's career. Which includes over three decades in high-end fashion. At the age of 16 he began working at Neiman-Marcus, DC as a salesperson in in Men's Sportwear. Years later he moved to Los Angeles and became the shirt buyer and custom specialist at Neiman-Marcus, Beverly Hills learning from some of the very best in the business. The best designers, the best customers (including Tom Jones, Elton John, and James L Brooks), and the best salespeople.
The quest for the best was a goal instilled in him at a very young age by his grandfather Stanley Marcus who put Neiman-Marcus on the map. He encouraged staff to treat customers as people rather than statistics. He would say ‘there is never a good sale for Neiman Marcus unless it's a good buy for the customer. This is an approach Daniel carried over from retail to wholesale where he joined super-agent and Italian ambassador of style Massimo Bizzocchi. With Massimo, Daniel learned how the best clothing in the world was made. Hand crafted by artisans with love. Those lines included Kiton, Sartorio, Gallotti, and Massimo Bizzocchi neckwear. All best in class.
Daniel is also a professional actor with 26 films, 22 television shows, and 32 commercials under his belt. Robin Williams, Angelica Huston, Brian Cox and Eugenio Derbez are a few of the actors he has had the privilege of performing with. He is very excited to apply the skills he has developed from both fashion and acting to a career in real estate.
