David Whitfield is originally from Durham, North Carolina, and is a graduate from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he played on the UNC Golf Team. For many years, David played professional golf and qualified to play in five PGA TOUR events, final state of PGA Tour Qualifying School and other professional events in the Southeast. He has won several mini-tour events in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, was a professional instructor at Northcrest Academy of Golf and an outings instructor with Golf Digest Schools.
David’s late father, Buddy Whitfield, was an active REALTOR® with the Durham Board of REALTORS® for 57 years and was a former President of the Durham Board of REALTORS®. David was well tutored by his dad in the business and followed in his footsteps.
In 1986, David began his real estate career with Fonville Morisey REALTORS® in Durham. For five years, he developed a valuable understanding of the industry and his business. He later moved to Florida and specialized in resort golf club residential real estate at Wycliffe Golf and Country Club in the late 1980s. Since moving to Georgia, David worked at Hawks Ridge Golf Club and then joined the Sugarloaf Country Club Sales Team for 15 years. He has worked as an on-site real estate agent with The Providence Group at Bellmoore Park in Johns Creek and The Manor Golf and Country Club in Milton. Overall, David has been in the real estate business for 26 years.
He currently resides in Duluth, and when he isn’t working, he enjoys golf, basketball, football, hunting, fishing, music, concerts, gardening and dining out. He is an active member of the Atlanta REALTORS® Association and is a 2014 Phoenix Award Recipient and Life Member of the Atlanta REALTORS® Association Top Producers.David’s experience and knowledge of golf and real estate makes him well qualified to assist clients in golf club community homes.

Growing up in a small town in Kentucky paved the way for me to reach my goals and set the foundation for a humble life. My family has always been very important to me; my parents aided in solidifying values and expectations not only for me, but also my twin sister and older sister. They told us to always do our best no matter the situation and with no regrets - this is the moto I live by today.
After graduating from Murray State University with a bachelor’s in marketing, I moved to the Atlanta area and have been here for more than 30 years, spending most of that time in Roswell. Since my start in 1993, I have been a full-time REALTOR® and still love working with buyers and sellers in all price ranges, focusing on fulfilling their needs, wants and desires in the best way possible.
I’ve had the privilege to work in several communities over the years, including Windward in Alpharetta, The Bluffs of Nancy Creek in Sandy Springs, Lassiter Walk in Marietta, Sugarloaf Country Club in Duluth, Belmoore Park & Brookmere in Johns Creek and The Manor Golf and Country Club in Milton.
