This impressive Castle dates back to the year 1427 when it was redeveloped by the Cavalcanti Family, of Florence, whose project ennobled and enriched the edifice, on the foundations of an ancient military watchtower. Baron Angelo Adolfo Levi further developed its grounds introducing an Italian garden in 1860, which was also accompanied by the full restoration at the hands of world renowned architect Coppedé around the turn of the Century.

These adaptations made this idyllic castle a unique asset, tinged with the signs and influences of eclecticism and Liberty styles, juxtaposed to the ancient Architectural characteristics of its medieval heritage.
