The Buitenlust farmhouse lives up to its name in every aspect. This beautiful monumental farmhouse of 579m2 dating from 1850 allows you to enjoy the great outdoors extensively. This is a fantastic family home with five bedrooms, two bathrooms and an architecturally-designed garden with a natural swimming pool. Besides, the farmhouse has a good connection to the Randstad.
The lot of more than 5,000 meters is accessible via several driveways. The driveway at the front offers a view of the stately entrance of the former farmhouse. The other two driveways bring you to the rear of the farm with an idyllic view of the farmhouse, the beautifully renovated haystack and the lush garden with a natural swimming pool, terraces and fruit trees. Also upon entering you will be struck by the enormous spaces and beautiful details in the original home with the fully renovated part behind it. This creates a fantastic space with the imposing frames proudly in sight.
Beautiful living and a spacious work environment
From the stone steps at the front of the house, you enter the long hall with marble floor. The original house has two front rooms, both with beautiful fireplaces, beamed ceilings, sliding windows with wooden window sills underneath, interior shutters and wooden floors. One of the front rooms is connected to the dining room through double doors (room and suite). Stunning is the handmade kitchen with an authentic pump. The kitchen, incidentally, forms an entirety with another room, the breakfast room. The annex has been completely converted into a beautiful office with its own entrance at the rear. Note the imposing glass wall, the beautiful truss construction to the ridge, the beautiful fireplaces and the mezzanine with vide.
The work of landscape architect Arend Jan van der Horst can be seen in everything. Three beautiful driveways, each with its own functions, take you to the spacious lot. At the back of the yard is the multifunctional haystack, which is now used as a garage. Around the garden you will find a natural swimming pool, terraces, vegetable garden, fruit trees, slate trees and lots of beech trees as a fence. It may be clear by now that as a resident of the Buitenlust farmhouse you can fully enjoy the outdoors every day.
Asch is a small and rural village with a few hundred inhabitants. It is part of the old Graafschap Buren and since 1811 of the municipality of Buren. The village has several beautiful farmhouses. In the village, the village house connects residents with each other. The village is centrally located with larger towns such as Geldermalsen, Culemborg and Wijk bij Duurstede nearby. These are all towns with good facilities such as shops, restaurants and (secondary) education. Just 2 km away from the farmhouse is the historic town of Buren.
In the historic town of Buren, one will find various fortifications and a city gate which are still largely intact. With no fewer than 100 state monuments and 55 municipal monuments, Buren has a protected cityscape. All this makes it a particularly lively town with numerous amenities. It is especially enjoyable to stroll along the many shops and studios. A school for primary education and a football and tennis club are also located in Buren.
Asch is located in the heart of the Betuwe. The Betuwe is best known for its fruit cultivation. According to many, when the apples and pears are in bloom, the Betuwe is at its most beautiful. In addition, the Betuwe is an area with a diversity of charming villages and towns, often with references and buildings to a distant past. Rural, idyllic and quiet: those are the characteristics of the area. At the same time, the A2 and A15 motorways are close enough to travel quickly to Utrecht, Den Bosch, Rotterdam or Amsterdam. The train connection (north-south connections) from both Geldermalsen and Culemborg is also great.
