I have walked this property twice now. Once with the owner and once for photos and both times I felt pulled in to explore the site. Off Barre Rd in the northeast corner of the proposed site, there is a small incline for an easy entrance to the elevated portion of the property. From this entrance, you find a somewhat level area with a grove of trees and very little undergrowth. But the nicest surprise lay 150 or more feet west of the entrance at the base of a moderately steep westerly facing slope. The pond is so private and the morning sun streaming through the trees and cloudless blue sky reflection, just amazing. I turned to ascend the slope and noted a face of rock further to the south on the property. Yup, that is where I would build my house with a cantilevered deck looking over my private pond.
