Dorie grew-up in Spring Lake Heights, graduating from Manasquan High School, but moved north when she became an art educator in Newark Public Schools. She became a licensed real estate salesperson in 1997 while living in Verona, working in Essex County as an agent during her teaching years. It was always Dorie’s goal to move back to coastal Monmouth County when she retired from teaching but when her daughter graduated from high school, she was ready to make the move to the West End section of Long Branch. Dorie became an agent with Heritage House Sotheby’s International Realty in 2013 as a full time agent, assisting buyers and sellers in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. She is detail oriented and prides herself in seeing her clients through the life-changing event that a real estate transaction can be. Along the way, Dorie accomplished the Graduate Realtor Institute designation as well as the Accredited Buyer Representative. She holds a BFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and an MA in Education Administration from St. Peters University. Dorie is a working artist and co-president of ProArts Jersey City, an all volunteer artist-run visual arts organization. She is a friend of animals who rescued her Arabian horse in 2009 and adopted several house pets over the years.
