Vivere a Copper Mountain, ColoradoBrittanny Havard
The largest of Summit County’s four resorts in, Copper Mountain Ski Resort offers diverse terrain on a well-designed, easy-to-navigate mountain. A self-contained ski resort, Copper Mountain is an active, yet peaceful, enclave onto itself. Advanced skiers prefer the east side, while beginner and intermediate snow riders enjoy the moderate terrain farther west. Copper boasts 16 miles of cross-country trails, and first-rate terrain parks await the daring.
Located on the western edge of Summit County, off of Interstate I-70, about 20 miles east of Vail and 7 miles from the quaint town of Frisco, Copper resembles a small village- and in fact it, is three; East Village, Center Village, and West Village/Lewis Ranch.
Surrounded by the 18-hole Pete Dye designed Copper Creek golf course, the East Village enjoys lift access via Copper’s only 6 person chairlift. The Super Bee lift transports skiers and riders 2,300 vertical feet to access some of the mountain’s best terrain.
Copper’s Center Village is its epicenter. The majority of shopping, dining, and activities, take place in Center Village, making it the location for every-day excitement. With access to beginner and intermediate terrain via two lifts, the American Eagle and American flyer, Center Village is appealing to many families.
Copper’s West Village is home to Copper’s newest lift, the Union Creek high speed quad, and the mountain’s award winning Ski & Ride school. Not only an idyllic place to learn to ski, the West Village also boasts fast access to the more challenging backside of the mountain.
Offering some of the coziest cabins and liveliest bars in Summit County, evenings in Copper can be relaxing or raucous, with the villages’ wealth of culinary offerings and local watering holes. Copper Mountain is family friendly as well, and during the summer, Copper ski lifts access boundless hiking and mountain biking trails. The local golf course provides another warm-weather diversion, as does whitewater rafting, tennis and nearby fishing.
Luxury real estate opportunities at Copper Mountain’s villages range from studios to captivating ski in/out single family homes.
