Osterville

Osterville, one of the seven villages within the town of Barnstable, is a primarily residential community with beautiful marshes, bays, and beaches. In July and August the population swells due to the many seasonal residents who maintain second homes in the Village. Osterville has long been known for its sprawling and magnificent oceanfront estates. By a steel drawbridge the village is connected to Little Island and Great Island (known as Oyster Harbors), a gated community featuring many luxury homes.For the sailing enthusiast, Osterville is home to Crosby Boat Yard, home to the famous Crosby Catboat and the Wianno Senior. There are two private country clubs in Osterville, Wianno and Oyster Harbors, each with a private 18 hole golf course, tennis facilities, and private beach. Osterville is also home to a well-known private K-12 school, Cape Cod Academy.
