She's a former board member of Foundation 65, which supports activities that enrich District 65 schools and encourages excellence in education, and has served on the Community Relations Committee for St. Francis Hospital, and has been involved in health needs assessment focus groups.
In her free time, Julie enjoys family game and movie nights, running, tennis, pick-up basketball and playing with her Great Dane. University of Michigan grads and avid sports fans, Julie, her husband, and kids, can be found cheering for the Blackhawks and the Northwestern Wildcats -- with the exception of Wolverine game day, of course.
