village where one can enjoy the many gifts of nature. Celebrating its 32nd anniversary this year, Beaver Creek opened on December 15, 1980 with six lifts and a 45-minute ride time to the top. Today, Beaver Creek is a fully developed destination resort complete with 25 lifts and a three mountain village-to-village experience, connecting to Bachelor Gulch Village and Arrowhead Resort (through its chairlifts, skiing and hiking trails). This will be the 3rd FIS World Championships for the resorts of the Vail Valley, which previously hosted the 1989 and 1999 events
