Beaver Creek, Colorado

Whether you are keeping warm during winter or are enjoying a glass of cold lemonade after a summer hike, nothing refreshes your being like gazing at the spectacular views that surround you in Beaver Creek, Colorado. Known as a mecca for sports enthusiasts, the Vail Valley and its elegant towns and villages have been captivating people for decades. Located in Eagle County, Colorado, of the Centennial State Beaver Creek is strategically located mid-valley providing easy access to many ski resorts, golf clubs, rivers and mountain trails. Beaver Creek is a unique mountain resort full of excitement and luxury influenced by the renowned resorts of Switzerland’s St. Mortiz, Italy’s Cortina, and Spain’s Val d’ Aran, combining western hospitality and European charm.

Although often referred to as Vail's little sister, Beaver Creek doesn't stand in Vail's shadow. Instead, it has made a name for itself as a picturesque
village where one can enjoy the many gifts of nature. Celebrating its 32nd anniversary this year, Beaver Creek opened on December 15, 1980 with six lifts and a 45-minute ride time to the top. Today, Beaver Creek is a fully developed destination resort complete with 25 lifts and a three mountain village-to-village experience, connecting to Bachelor Gulch Village and Arrowhead Resort (through its chairlifts, skiing and hiking trails). It’s a place people visit to leave the world behind, offering privacy, an intimate mountain setting and is recognized for providing arguably the best guest service in the world.

The local’s say, “I came for the winter but stayed for the summer.” Recreational and cultural opportunities abound in Beaver Creek. Golfing, fly fishing, hiking, biking and tennis are just the beginning of the many activities one can chose from here in our mountain community.

From the acclaimed artistic performances at the 530-seat Vilar Performing Arts Center, to the Black Family Ice Rink, to the Birds of Prey World Cup ski races, Beaver Creek offers something for everyone. The International Ski Federation (FIS) selected Beaver Creek and Vail Resorts to host the 2015 World Alpine Ski Championships. This will be the 3rd FIS World Championships for the resorts of the Vail Valley, which previously hosted the 1989 and 1999 events
