A very successful enterprise was embarked upon 37 years ago when Kathleen Van Sant-Fisher and Dorothy St. Amour created their real estate partnership. Since joining Prudential in 1994, they have been awarded the Prudential Real Estate Affiliate's most prestigious award of Legends, representing achieving Chairman's Circle designation for 15 consecutive years putting their performance in either the top 1% or top 2% of Prudential agents nationwide. Kathleen and Dorothy were two of only 14 agents among Prudential's 62,000 agents to earn the coveted LEGEND FIFTEEN YEAR AWARD in 2008. Dorothy received the Associate of the Year Award from her fellow Prudential real estate agents for the Rancho Santa Fe Properties office for 1996 and Kathleen received the same award for 1998. They are convinced their continuing success is due to their dedication of service to their clients and keeping their eyes on that target has always been their goal.
In the spring of 2014, Dorothy and Kathleen made the considered decision to join the Pacific Sotheby's International Realty company. The dominant market strength and sterling reputation of this fine company made this move an exciting venture for us and our clients.
Kathleen and Dorothy, along with their sister, Mary Gibbs, are co-owners of the Pacific Sotheby's office building carrying on the tradition of their late father, Tom Bowen. Sharing a love of the Ranch and a desire to maintain the Village atmosphere they have been instrumental in having their building, along with others in the Village, listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Dorothy attended the University of Detroit, majoring in Business Administration. There she met her husband, Frank. They have raised five children and are experiencing the joy of grandparenthood and an occasional game of tennis at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club where they have been members for 38 years. Dorothy is one of the founding members of the La Jolla Cotillion, this social organization has four black-tie dinner dances every year in San Diego's finest ballrooms. In the last few years, she has designed and built two homes in Rancho Santa Fe and Coastal North County.
Kathleen and her rancher husband, Jerry Fisher, live in their dream home they built on Loma Verde here in the Ranch which they share with another member of their family, Emma, a yellow Labrador. Kathleen is a cum laude graduate of the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She spent 15 years in Los Angeles with the international architectural and planning firm of William L. Pereira & Associates, where she was Executive Assistant to William L. Pereira, F.A.I.A. It was during this period the Masterplan of the Irvine Ranch, the Transamerica building in San Francisco, and the Library at UCSD were developed. Kathleen also participated in the establishment of their Hawaii Office during the early 1970s.
