Cathy Gilchrist-Colmar is a licensed agent and Realtor with over 30 years of experience in all phases of real estate. With a background in construction, appraisal services and mortgage and title operations, she understands not only the market, but is also sensitive to the processes and issues involved with every aspect of selling and purchasing property. This varied and layered history, including recognition as an approved loan underwriter for the FNMA, gives her a comprehensive understanding of the many different facets and intricacies of real estate transactions, as well as a passion for the business.
A love of riding horses brought Cathy to the Rancho Santa Fe area over 28 years ago. After becoming completely enamored with the area, she combined her love of horses and real estate. Her broad base of knowledge gives her a valuable edge in providing clients with top-level advice. A Certified Negotiation Expert, Cathy is skilled at navigating complex negotiations and guiding her clients confidently and professionally through the process of purchasing and/or selling their homes. This has led to long-term personal relationships with her clients as well as numerous accolades throughout the industry.
Cathy has been individually ranked among the top agents nationwide with her former company and was presented with the “Chairman’s Circle Diamond Award” in back-to-back years. She is also an Official Award Winner of the Recognition of Excellence at a Gold Level of Achievement for 2016 and 2017, an honor given to agents who had more than $25 million in sales transactions within a 12-month period. She is a founding member of The Fellowship of Realty Professionals, an organization recognized by REAL Trends, The Wall Street Journal, and other credible sources as among the most experienced and successful real estate professionals in the country. Her transactions include sales ranging from $238,000 to $28 million. Since 2005, she has participated in sales totaling over $524 million, and her total listing inventory ranges between $20-40 million.
