Turks & Caicos Islands
Provo Golf Club – A Secret Worth Discovering
In 1989 the island of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos was brand new in its future direction as a high end Caribbean Resort Destination. Using that vision Provo Golf Club was developed to help the country cultivate its bourgeoning tourist industry. Thus Provo Golf Club was conceived by the well-established HAB Group Ltd. who accomplished this project in the extremely attractive location of Grace Bay, Providenciales.
World renowned golf-course architect, Karl Litten was chosen and ground broke in May of 1991 leading to the first shot being struck only 18 months later on a picture perfect, Provo Day.
Since 1992 this challenging layout has been enjoyed by club members and resort golfers alike, and attracts many return visitors to tackle the unique ‘target-style’ course. In happy contrast to the rest of the island golfers are pleased to find a relaxing green oasis, with an almost constant island breeze to keep them cool. This is the ultimate golf in the Caribbean. Our 18 hole championship golf course is voted consistently within the top ten Caribbean golf courses.
Open Year Round
Noted for a challenging round of golf, while maintaining a quick pace of play, we offer four sets of tees for all golfing levels and premium TaylorMade golf clubs for rental. Our championship facilities include lush fairways and immaculate greens, a full service pro-shop, practice chipping and putting areas and Fairways Bar and Grill.
Known for its natural, rugged layout through limestone outcroppings, Provo Golf Club combines a great test of golf with the natural flora and fauna of the islands. Fairways are lined with native island bush which combine with inland lakes and numerous palm trees to compliment the beautifully maintained playing surfaces. There is also an abundance of birdlife, with the lakes home to an array of colorful native birds including egrets, various types of heron and waterfowl, and migratory flamingo's.
The front nine features water on six holes and winds its way through areas set aside for the development of Country Club-style villas, while the back nine features a further four ‘lake holes’ and a generally tight set up, none more so than the notorious par five 12th.

#12 – Par 5 – 549 Yards: For many the hardest hole on the course - look out as this par 5 plays like a seven with 549 yards dead into the trade wind. This extremely narrow hole leaves you with an approach shot to a green that slopes right to left. Low straight shots are the key to success. You just want to find your golf ball and wave goodbye to The Beast!
Pro Tip: The tee shot is key, but this green is also very sneaky - fast from right to left.
#17 - Par 3 - 163 Yards: This attractive golf hole is beautifully fronted by a rock wall and heavily guarded by water on the front side and a prevailing trade wind making club selection paramount. A birdie here is a huge accomplishment!
