Reno recently made number nine on Livability’s Top 100 Best Places to Live.

Livability.com analyzed data on over 1,700 US cities with a focus on mid-sized cities with population between 25,000 and 350,000. Quality of life priorities were derived from a demographically-balanced survey.

Livability rates America’s best places to live and visit by assigning a LivScore based on economics, healthcare, housing, social and civic capital, education, amenities, demographics, and infrastructure. The LivScore rating is generated using the four guiding principles of access, affordability, choice, and utilization. The highest score was a total of 646, with Reno’s score at 631.

Some of Reno’s most notable qualities include quick commutes, natural amenities, and culture. Additionally, home prices are low with the median home price at $142,330, while the scenic landscape offers the option for gated communities and sprawling high-end homes with ample privacy.
