With colder nighttime temperatures, this week Lake Tahoe ski resorts have been vigorously making snow and prepping for the winter to come while locals are busy stocking their winter quiver with new ski and snowboard gear. With dealers, industry reps and local gear junkies making room for new inventory the Lake Tahoe ski swaps are a popular place to find deals on new and used equipment of all types. Attendees go in search of the latest and greatest technology while others are simply on the hunt to replace what the kids outgrew the year before. Tahoe’s various ski swaps also offer the opportunity to sell your own gear to eager buyers but keep in mind that you must register your gear in advance. Most of the swaps serve as major fundraisers for local nonprofits like the UNR Ski Team and the Heavenly Ski & Snowboard Foundation.
