It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Jim Courcier. Jim passed away peacefully on Tuesday, alongside the love and care of his wife, Linda and family.
Sierra Sotheby’s International Realty would like to honor the impact Jim had on our lives and his significant contributions to our community.
Jim Courcier, a dedicated Realtor with Sierra Sotheby’s, was a long-time resident of North Lake Tahoe, where he lived with his wife, Linda, for 27 years. Originally from Westport, Connecticut, Jim moved west to pursue his passion for skiing, which ultimately led him to settle in Tahoe.
“Jim was more than just a colleague, a seasoned sailboat captain, and a guiding presence in the boat slip real estate world; he was a dear friend to all who knew him. His kindness touched the lives of many says Jamie Dewit, Regional Sales Manager for North Lake Tahoe and longtime colleague of Jim. His passing leaves a void in our hearts, but his memory will sail on. May the wind always fill the sails of those who had the privilege of knowing him.”
A seasoned real estate professional since 1998, Jim was deeply involved in the community as an active member of the North Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the Tahoe City Downtown Association, and a long-time member of the Tahoe Yacht Club. He was known for his expertise in the North Tahoe and Truckee markets and his commitment to both his clients and his community.
Jim’s memory will forever be remembered by his wife, all of us here at Sierra Sotheby’s International Realty and in the Lake Tahoe community.
